  Probably more of an issue with the system, ramping of ambulances is just poor. Waiting to see someone quickly is poor. Our child had a serious break and the waiting was excruciating. Thankfully ambos intervened with painkillers. Don't understand the system, yet the system needs to be fixed.

  Staff at ED and short stay were professional and so kind even though I could see they were under the pump ! I can't thank them enough :)

  I wonder what standards they have when its accepted to have numerous people smoking directly infront or beside the hospital entrance. The path and driveway is layered with butts the smell enters pathology and the inside waiting room. People are forced to walk on the butts and the butts get carried inside the hospital littering the hospital hallways..obviously the hospital has no regard for any ones health. hygiene or standards

  My elderly mum fainted at the Aged Care Facility where she is living and was admitted to the Emergency department of the Dandenong Hospital on 21st November. Unfortunately, none of the family was able to be with her on her admission. The doctor (Sinead) rang me a couple of times, firstly to advise that mum was there and provided an update of her condition. She arranged for a Chinese interpreter to assist in further diagnosis of mum's condition. Dr Sinead then rang me a second time to advise that mum was fine and discussed mum's medical condition with me. They had also then arranged for an ambulance to transport mum back to the Aged Care Facility. I have been really impressed and appreciative of the care, kindness, empathy and also critically, the medical expertise shown to my mum. Thank you Dr Sinead especially and also to all the staff at the hospital. You are doing a great job and we are very grateful.

  Up until last year my hospital visits had been a positive experience. I was very apprehensive about returning for more surgery last week, however, I was very pleased with all aspects of services delivered.
